When my sister told us that she intended to live abroad, we were all a bit concerned, as the immigration laws in many countries have seriously changed in the last few years. She assured us that she had done a ton of research though, and had picked out a few of the best countries for consideration that had better emigration processes than others. This did set my parents more at ease when she explained her plan to them. In the final analysis, my parents did realize that she had to follow her own path in life and that they had to allow her to make her choice of residency.
