Being a contractor can be a very rewarding experience. However, once you obtain your State Contractors License, do not be fooled into thinking that your responsibility for knowing the laws ends there. It is your responsibility as a licensed state contractor to know the laws and keep up with any changes or updates in the laws. If you fail to keep up with the current laws, you may find yourself in violation of the laws. Violating the laws can end up with you receiving a fine. Take your position as a licensed contractor seriously. Know the laws and follow them consistently.
