Sudoku was originally developed in Japan and after that it rapidly spread to other countries. Now most of the national news paper and online puzzle website publish at least one Sudoku puzzle each day. Sky One hosted a live Sudoku puzzle show on TV where the audience were told how to solve Sudoku.

While the rules of Sudoku are very simple, it needs a lot of patience and logical thinking to quickly finish the game. Sudoku puzzle is played in a 9 x 9 grid, which is made up of 3 x 3 sub grids. The main goal is to fill the empty cells with a number from 1 to 9. You have to fill the number so that each column and row contains the number 1 to 9 exactly once.
