I am looking for some type of flooring that would muffle sound a bit so it isn’t too loud for the people living below. I don’t want to use carpet since it is such a pain to clean, so I am looking for something else. A friend suggested I might want to check out floating cork flooring, since she had heard that it was good for sound proofing. Can anyone tell me where I can find out more about this type of flooring? Is it very expensive? I can only afford to spend so much money for a new floor.
