Travel No Comments »

You do not want to miss this bus. This bus saves you money and time and who does not need more of those things? I am of course talking about www.the-bus.net. At this site you can find great six flags coupons and promotions. For example, I just bought six tickets for adults and I only paid the child’s price for each one. That was a nice savings to put back in my pocket. Be sure to get on the bus and check out the deals for you and your family at a Six Flags near you and have a great vacation.

A Rich History Defines the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC

On a visit to the fair city of Washington, DC, you would be missing out on something great by neglecting to visit the National Gallery of Art.  This public museum, made possible by a generous gift from Andrew Mellon upon his death, houses an impressive and extensive collection of fine art.The West Building was first opened to the public in March of 1941.  This building was the original site of the National Gallery of Art.  The West Building was added on in the 1970s.  This building now houses the contemporary collection as well as research facilities and offices for the National Gallery.  The National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden is the most recent addition to the complex, having been added in 1999.  It is now the home to several contemporary sculptures.Although you can spend an entire day doing nothing but admiring the collection of art in the National Gallery - and many visitors do - there are also plenty of other activities available.  Educational classes and workshops are offered to individuals, families and children on a variety of subjects.  A visit to the National Gallery of Art is a wonderful cultural experience for any age.

Travel Pro

There was a time when I plodded through travel arrangements, taking notes, calling travel agents, and driving across town to pick up tickets.

No more. I have discovered the Internet and have become an efficient traveler.

For instance, last year my cousin called and invited me to go to London with her and asked me to book the flight, hotel, and cars. No problem. I jumped on the Internet, pulled up several of my favorite travel sites, and compared prices.

Within minutes I was able to check the cheapest hotel rates, book rooms, arrange electronic tickets, and rent cars for each leg of our trip.

The only thing the Internet didn’t do was pack our bags; but I’m even pretty good at that.

Travel operator - Why go for Them?

Travel No Comments »

How do you know that the travel agency you’ve made plans with will be able to deliver their services as promised? Simple, find out if they have an office located in the country where you’re headed. With an office in that country, they will have personnel there who will have a good understanding of the particular concerns related to travel in that country and can often help avoid any problems with booking international airfares to that destination. Aside from having travel personnels attending to your dilemmas, another good reason to deal with a travel operator is that they will often have access to special international fares with airlines based in that country and this would mean that you can access them too! This can help you to get the best airfare deals and save considerable money on your air tickets. Since airfare is usually a large part of a traveler’s budget, especially when global flights are involved, these kinds of discounts can help make the trip more affordable and enjoyable with some extra spending money for sightseeing and souvenir shopping.

Honeymoon

I am really looking forward to my big wedding day but I am mostly looking forward to my honeymoon. I have spent a good 18 months planning this wedding and at times it has got the best of me. I am really looking forward to all the festivities being behind us and we can start our life together as husband and wife. My husband has planned our honeymoon at the bali Luxury Villas and I just can not wait to lie on the beach with a fun umbrella drink in my hand and relaxing to the sound of the waves on the beach.

I learned instant immersion Japanese.

I was born and raised int he United States. Therefore, English is the language that I learned to speak and have used throughout my life. When my husband and I found out that he was being transferred to Japan for his job, I was very upset. It wasn’t because I would have to move away from my family. It was because I wouldn’t be able to communicate with the natives. My husband knew how to speak Japanese, as he had been dealing with Japanese clients for years. I didn’t know how to speak the language, and I knew that I would have a tough time asking for direction or even paying for my groceries. I learned instant immersion Japanese. My husband taught me some basics before we moved, but I learned more once I arrived in Japan and began to mingle with the natives.

Edinburgh, a photo opportunity

Edinburgh is unique in many ways. Views range from beautiful beaches and the sea, to magnificent castles. At almost every turn as you depart your Edinburgh accommodation you will feel as if you have stepped into a setting for a picture post card. My wife was constantly grabbing my arm and saying take a picture of this or take a picture of that. I complied eagerly as each scene was more compelling than the last. As we wandered through the compelling winding streets we came upon shops, bars and restaurants each of which was beckoning us to step inside to see what they offered.

Falling in love with Venice again

Travel No Comments »

I just finished watching “Dangerous Beauty” and I want to go back to Venice. The sites and the bridges team with history. Piaza San Marco is elegant with the beautiful buildings around it, and I love the story of how the Bridge of Sighs got its name. The intricate carvings on the walls are amazing, and there is a special feeling to ride the gondolas along the Grand Canal. And I get a sense of adventure when I walk the side streets and become one with the city. I can get there because I discovered www.cheaperthanhotels.co.uk/Italy/ and I can get cheap Italy hotels in Venice at a reasonable price

Breaktaking Bali

Travel No Comments »

I grew up reading the novels of James A. Michener, so I’d spent my life wanting to see an island paradise.

That wish finally came true when some friends asked if I wanted to share the cost of a trip to Bali.

After a little online research, we found that in Bali private villas are surprisingly affordable, even if we each rented our own.

We booked the trip and spent two weeks enjoying the glorious weather, first class accommodations, and wonderful food.

But for me, the best part was finally seeing firsthand some of the places which had inspired the books I loved.

Buy Timeshares - A Brief Overview

Travel No Comments »

Let’s not complicate ourselves in trying to understand what a timeshare is and just put it this way – it’s either a property or the right to use a property. Such property is usually in the form of a resort condominium unit and many individuals can have the right to use it at their disposal in their specified time interval of ownership. According to a historical account, this idea was first introduced in Europe in the 1960s when a ski resort developer in the French Alps advertised his resort by encouraging guests to "stop renting a room" and instead "buy the hotel." With such a catch, the business of buy timeshares was a big success and the concept was embraced by developers worldwide from then on – boosting sales of surplus condominium units at a time when the resort industry was depressed. Other accounts existed from this time period of properties sold on a similar scheme in the United States (southwest) but the first hotel to embrace this concept is alleged to be Hilton Hale Kaanapali on the Island of Maui in Hawaii. Despite other claimants, still Hapimag is being given credit for popularizing the notion.

Whose story is it?

We had wanted to take that special vacation for years but had just not gotten around to it (her story) or had not found the right place (my story). Then in the middle of a late night movie we started to talk about the South Pacific and what it might be like to visit there. A few minutes later we were on line and searching for names of south sea islands. We came up with Bali and Bali Villas was not far behind. Now we have spent two weeks in paradise (both our stories) and are starting to plan our return trip.
